Ashley Norwood
Only one person can put the Ash in AshBash and that person is Ashley Norwood, the guiding spirit of the film. In seven words or less: she is single and she is happy.

Heidi Sullivan
AshBash was directed by Heidi Sullivan, founder of HMV Productions.
A former travel writer turned filmmaker, her screenplays have been recognized at festivals from Hollywood to Europe. Heidi has been around the world (from Antarctica to Zambia), and could not be happier about her current journey: collaborating with Ashley on bringing AshBash to the big screen.

Bonnie Timmons (“Caroline in the City”)
AshBash features the whimsical genius of Emmy-award-winning author and illustrator Bonnie Timmons (“Caroline in the City”). Bonnie lives with her husband, horses, and cowboy poodles on a farm in Pennsylvania that hums with creativity.

Rusty Scott
AshBash also features the original music of Rusty Scott and the Rusty Scott Quartet. Since his days at Berklee, Rusty has been a beloved fixture on the Boston jazz scene and has performed for the likes of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Rusty also plays the Hammond B3 organ.

Jordan Harrison
Jordan Harrison is the mastermind behind the AshBash animation and motion graphics - he magically knew how to turn our inner quirk into algorithms. His work can be seen in the feature documentary, the AshBash trailer, and this website, as well as at

Susan D’Arcy Fuller
Susan D’Arcy Fuller is the multi-talented creative force who captured our studio photography. Susan did not even blink when we arrived with a pineapple for Ashley’s head (see trailer) and wholeheartedly encouraged Ashley to do yoga jumps through her studio. You’ll also recognize Susan as one of the amazing Ash-ettes who performed live at the AshBash.

George Amaral
Stylist George Amaral from Salon Mario Russo is Ashley’s hair guru and longest-committed relationship (Ashley has been faithfully going to George for over 20 years - though she strayed once early in their relationship, Ashley has vowed never to make that mistake again).

Dave Brophy
We owe our seamless sound mix to the musical ears of composer and drummer Dave Brophy, who had just returned from performing live at Farm Aid. His work has also been heard on NCIS and 90210. Check out Dave’s incredible sound at

David Liberge
David Liberge is the hip hop star behind the AshBash choreography. He has been interviewed and filmed for the nationally broadcasted show Hip Hop Nation and was a member of the Street Hop team who won the Cabaret Division of the 1999 American Lindy Hop Championships.

Alex MacDougall
Alex MacDougall, who can really vibe Ol’ Blue Eyes, is the Boston-based bandleader who helped Ashley achieve her lifelong dream of performing on the piano with a live band. Their musical collaboration is documented in AshBash with covers of Bill Doggett’s “Honky Tonk” and Ray Charles’ “What’d I Say.”

Judy Osborne
Judy Osborne, one of the wise voices of AshBash, is a marriage and family therapist with over 25 years of experience. Judy founded Stepfamily Associates in 1980 and has been offering workshops, support groups and professional consultation ever since. Check out her most recent book:

Jarvis Chen
Jarvis Chen has been hailed as one of 21 teachers under the age of 40 who are “shaping the future of yoga.” (Yoga Journal, 2008). He studies and works closely with senior Iyengar teacher Patricia Walden; has presented work on depression and anxiety at the Yoga and Mind conference at the Harvard Medical School; and travels regularly to Pune, India to study with the Iyengar family.
